RunPlus (the "Provider") respects your privacy and complies with applicable data protection laws. This Policy explains how RunPlus (the "Service") handles your information.
1. Data Stored on Your Device (not collected by the Provider)
The following information you enter into the Service is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to, or collected by, the Provider:
VDOT values, goal times, and training pace settings
Race records and training logs
Body information such as body weight (health-related information, treated as sensitive data)
App settings such as training week start
Because this information is managed only on your device, it is deleted when you delete it yourself or uninstall the app. The Provider cannot access it.
2. Information the Provider Collects
a. Feedback (optional)
If you send feedback through the Service's feedback feature, the following is collected via Google Forms:

Feedback is optional and is collected only when you write and submit it.
We do not separately collect identifying information such as your email address. However, if you include personal information in the feedback text itself, that information may be collected, so please avoid entering unnecessary personal data.
b. Automatically Collected Information
To improve service quality and diagnose errors, the following is collected automatically:
Device information (device model, OS version, app version, language/region settings)
Usage records and error (crash) logs
This information is processed through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. No advertising identifier (ad ID) is collected.
Raw health values such as running distance, pace, heart rate, and location coordinates are never transmitted.
c. Advertising Information
If you use the app for free, a banner advertisement is shown at the bottom of the app in exchange for that free use (purchasing the paid product removes advertising). Advertising is delivered through Google AdMob, and the following applies.
The Provider does not itself collect user information for advertising purposes. In the course of serving an ad request, Google may process your IP address, device and app information, and ad impression or click records.
No advertising identifier (IDFA or Android Advertising ID) is collected, and no cross-app tracking is performed. Accordingly, only non-personalized advertising is shown, not advertising based on your interests.
Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain U.S. states are asked for consent or given choices regarding advertising through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Declining does not restrict any feature of the app.
Health data (running records, distance, pace, heart rate) and location coordinates are never used for advertising purposes and are never transmitted to the advertising provider.
Users who have purchased the paid product are shown no advertising, and the advertising SDK is not initialized for them.
d. Location and Weather Information
Your location is used to show the weather and air quality where you are, on the Info tab.
Location permission is requested only while you are using the app. The app never checks your location in the background.
Coordinates are rounded to two decimal places (roughly a 1 km area) before they leave the device. Your precise location is never transmitted.
The rounded coordinates are used only as parameters of the weather and air-quality request, and are stored neither by the provider nor by the app. The only thing kept on your device is the result (temperature, precipitation, and so on).
In Korea, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) short-term forecast (via the Public Data Portal) is used; there the coordinates are converted once more into the KMA grid (roughly 5 km) before being sent. Elsewhere — and whenever the KMA request fails — Open-Meteo is used. Air quality (fine dust) is provided by Open-Meteo.
If you decline location permission, every other feature of the app keeps working without restriction, and weather is shown for a default location (Seoul).
3. Purposes of Use
The Provider uses collected information only for the following purposes:
Responding to inquiries and feedback
Identifying and fixing errors in the Service
Improving quality by analyzing usage
Delivering advertising to users of the free version
Providing weather and air-quality information for your current location
4. Sharing and Processing by Third Parties
The Provider does not sell your personal information or provide it to third parties for marketing purposes.
To operate the Service, external services may process information on the Provider's behalf as follows:
Advertising delivery (Google AdMob) and advertising consent management (UMP)
IP address, device and app information, ad impression and click records
Open-Meteo
Weather and air-quality lookup
Rounded coordinates (~1 km)
Korea Meteorological Administration (Public Data Portal)
Weather lookup in Korea
Grid coordinates (~5 km)
5. International Transfer
Your feedback, automatically collected information, and weather lookup requests may be processed by providers such as Google and Open-Meteo that operate servers outside your country, and as a result may be transferred abroad (e.g., to the United States). Each provider's handling of personal information is governed by its own privacy policy.
6. Retention and Deletion
On-device data: managed only on your device and deleted when you delete it or uninstall the app.
Feedback: retained until the purposes of responding to inquiries and improving the Service are fulfilled, then deleted without undue delay.
Where applicable law requires retention, the information is kept for the required period.
7. Your Rights
You can view, edit, and delete on-device data yourself at any time.
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of information the Provider holds (such as feedback), and the Provider will act without undue delay in accordance with applicable law. Note that because feedback is collected anonymously, additional information may be needed to identify and act on a specific user's data.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not primarily directed at children under the age of 14. The Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 and will delete such information without undue delay if it becomes aware of it.
9. Security Measures
The Provider takes reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the information it collects and processes, in accordance with applicable law and proportionate to the scope of that information.
