These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the mobile application RunPlus (the "Service") provided by RunPlus (the "Provider"), and set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Provider and you.
2. Definitions
"Service" means the application and all related features that the Provider offers so that you can use running training pace calculations, race predictions, training statistics, and similar tools.
"User" or "you" means any person who uses the Service under these Terms.
"Content" means all calculation results, predicted values, text, images, and other information provided within the Service.
3. Effect and Changes to the Terms
These Terms apply to all users of the Service.
The Provider may modify these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. When the Terms change, the Provider will give prior notice of the effective date and the reason for the change through an in-app notice or other appropriate means.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you may stop using the Service and delete the app. If you continue to use the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms, you are deemed to have accepted the changes.
4. Provision and Modification of the Service
The Provider offers the following:
VDOT-based training pace and training zone calculations
Race time prediction and equivalence
Related calculators such as treadmill and track tools
Training statistics and personal record management
Other features the Provider may add or offer through partnerships
The Provider may change the content, method, or hours of the Service, and may modify or suspend all or part of the Service where there is a reasonable ground to do so.
5. Use of the Service and License
Subject to these Terms, the Provider grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not reverse-engineer, copy, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service, or otherwise use it in ways not permitted by these Terms.
6. User Obligations
You agree not to:
Interfere with the normal operation of the Service;
Infringe the intellectual property rights of the Provider or any third party;
Violate applicable laws or these Terms; or
Use the Service for any improper purpose.
7. Intellectual Property
Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Service and its Content belong to the Provider. However, data you enter directly into the Service (records, settings, etc.) remains yours.
Training methodologies and formulas that the Service references, such as VDOT, belong to their respective authors and rights holders; the Provider merely references and implements them to provide calculation tools.
8. Health Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability for Use
The training paces, training zones, race predictions, and other outputs of the Service are estimates based on statistical models and do not guarantee any particular result.
The Service does not provide medical or professional advice and is not a substitute for diagnosis or guidance from a physician, physical therapist, qualified coach, or other professional.
You are encouraged to consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise program or if you have any health concerns.
You use the Service at your own risk and discretion, taking into account your physical condition and environment (heat, humidity, terrain, etc.). To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for injury, health problems, or other harm arising from your use of the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Provider is not liable for damages arising from causes beyond its reasonable control, including force majeure, problems with your device, or communication failures.
To the extent the Service is provided free of charge, the Provider is not liable except where required by applicable law.
The Service is provided "as is," and the Provider does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of calculation results and predictions, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Any dispute arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to jurisdiction as determined by applicable law.
